I almost threw this one out. Everyone, I suppose has a slightly different method of saving and compiling fractals. I usually try to do something I haven't done before, like look somewhere I've never looked before or change parameters in ways I've never considered. It's just experimentation and trying out everything. If something looks interesting I save it. Later I will go through my collection like a traveller looks over all the things he's going to take on a trip and decide that I must get rid of half of all this stuff. Waiting a few days helps to get rid of any sentimentality or faulty logic like, " I don't particulary like this one but I think it's good because...". One has to be their own editor, but I think editing is also part of the creative process.
