Here is an example of the chalk board style. The first edge detection filter produces this drawing style. Here it is used with anti-aliasing, but without it the result can be a coarser, thicker chalk drawing which usually doesn't look good. Like all the images in my gallery, I went through a number of palettes before arriving at this final image. This is a pretty ordinary fractal, it's the coloring that makes it interesting.
