Here's something a little different. This is a detail from the first Mandelbrot formula (I rarely use the others) in the "1/(mu-1.40115)" (last one) plane. The palette gives the surrounding biomorphs a printed look. This look reminds me of the surface texture and line appearance of wood block or "intaligo" printing. I think the effect comes from the very gradual, single-color gradient in the palette with which the outside area is colored.
